Agreement
The manager will search for performance work for the artist.
The manager will earn a scale of fees from the artist for whatever work is obtained.
The manager will be entitled to a fee as a percentage of the artist income from any work which comes from the manager’s input.
The manager must have licence to approach promoters, agents, cruise lines, hotel chains, classy clubs and any other client who requires quality entertainers.
Rough bars and seedy social clubs are out of the picture as agreed.
A strict diary of gig dates will be kept at all times.
If the artist obtains personal work the artist must let the manager know immediately so as not to incur double bookings.
The artist is allowed to obtain their own bookings and the manager will not ask for any fees. The only stipulation is that the artist informs the manager of the gig dates immediately. Any input from the manager, at the artist’s request, to help secure the booking will involve the usual manager’s fee. If the artist is contacted directly from a client after looking at the manager’s website or after any contact with the manager then the artist is duty bound to inform the manager and any work that is derived from such actions then the manager is entitled to the agreed percentage fees.
It is the artist responsibility to make sure that all their performance equipment is in satisfactory working order.
It is the artist responsibility to have quality legal backing tracks when being used.
It is the artist responsibility to make sure they are covered adequately for legal and insurance protection such as public liability insurance and that all electrical equipment is PAT tested every year.
A website, Facebook and responsible social media site with links to You Tube will be part of the manager’s marketing policy in association with other business marketing policies.
The artist must allow the manager to promote the artist using the above strategy in addition to approaching potential clients directly.
If any other manager/agent/record label wishes to take sole management control of the artist then, with the artists consent the manager reserves the right to ask for a buy out fee from the other party not from the artist. This is to protect the financial interest of both the artist and the manager.
Fees
Management fees are private and will be agreed between artist and manager.
